When God appears silent, a miracle may be happening. When storms are raging prepare to witness the power above all storms. The only requirement is to ensure Christ is in the boat with us. He will take us through.

Bible Passages
Matthew 8:23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Silence of God
There are times when:
- God appears silent.
- Our faith is inadequate
- The storms of life threaten to destroy us.
This incident tells us how to thrive in these situations
The storms may be raging around us and within us. There is impending destruction.
God’s silence towards His children could precede a sensational surprise He has for us.
Stillness with God
Nothing can perturb the master of creation. He is always in control. He wants us to be unperturbed in the knowledge that He is in control
Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”.
The disciples did one thing right –they tirelessly followed Jesus and it eventually paid off
Though fearful, faithless, confused, stumbling, fumbling, bumbling…
They eventually became some of the most mighty ambassadors of Jesus the world has ever known.
Sensational work of God
The disciples lack faith
They fear
They are chided by the Lord Almighty
Those things don’t matter when:
They are in the same boat as Jesus
That is all that was required to see his mighty power.
They still didn’t know that they had God himself in their boat?
Do we know and believe the power of God within us?
